ITIL has a foundation level certification, which is considered as the entry-level of certification for this sector. The second level is of a practitioner; this level is followed by the intermediate level, and then comes the penultimate level, which is ‘expert,’ and the ultimate level is called ‘master.’ ITIL follows the norm of the credit-based scoring system, a credit count of 22 will help you achieve the ITIL Expert certification. These certifications at different levels help an individual to compare their skillset and also help a company while recruitment for their various posts. The ITIL Foundation Certification is a basic certification that is meant for a fresher or a beginner looking to work in the IT sector. The foundation exam doesn’t even require any prerequisite training or experience as the other level of certifications do. Once you cover and spend a significant amount of time in this domain, you will learn the life cycle of ITIL in detail, and you can apply it in real-life situations. The certification gives you an opportunity to showcase your skills near the recruiters and also help an individual to learn several new techniques and methodologies, which are personal benefits.
